Fishing Report 6/3/2020

Saltwater

Southern Bluefin – a little quite this week but fish were caught at the next in westerly weather

Albacore – similar to the Bluefin have been a bit quiet this week.

Sand flathead – plentiful with a bit of searching, people are finding good numbers in deeper water for around 30m at Marion and wide of Storm Bay.

Australian Salmon – Montegue Bay, Howrah and Cremorne have all been producing fish to a 1kg this week.

Kingfish – continue to elude a lot of anglers but a good specimen was caught off wrest point casino. A few have also been caught under the tasman bridge.

Sand whiting being caught at Lewisham. 

Snapper reports have been very quiet with a few people trying for no luck. 

Freshwater

Dee lagoon has been producing good rainbows at the moment – trollers have done well with king cobras.

Great lake has been fishing well in the windlanes during the day and a reasonable amount have been caught in the shallows early morning 

Arthurs Lake- lure fisherman have been struggling with the lower water levels but fly fisherman have been doing well later in the evening on black spinners.
