Saltwater

Albacore –  have been found along the edge of the shelf. Fish to 7kg available.

Sand flathead – plentiful with a bit of searching, people are finding good numbers in deeper water for around 30m at Marion and wider of Storm Bay.

Australian Salmon – Cremorne is still producing fish to 1kg this week. Alum Cliffs south of Taroona has also fished well for those trolling.

Southern Bluefin – a little quite still this week but fish have been caught both inshore and out wide. A good fish of around 45 kg.

Kingfish – A few fish have  been caught under the Tasman bridge this week. Water temperature has dropped a little and fish gone a little quiet.

Pike - being taken around the rocky points and deeper shores in the Derwent River … they have been caught while spinning for salmon. A trace may be required.

Freshwater

Woods Lake has been producing good Browns at the moment – trollers have done well with King Cobras. No 62 in the dirty water …. Weed seems to have reduced a tad.

Great lake has been fishing well in the wind lanes during the day and a reasonable amount have been caught in the shallows early morning

Arthurs Lake- lure fisherman have been struggling with the lower water levels but fly fisherman have been doing well later in the evening on black spinners.

Lake Burbury ….. producing some great rainbows to 1.4kg … best lures seem to be the deeper diving minnows. RMG Poltergeist in the 50 size colours R26, H66 working well.
