Saltwater

Flathead – have been tough lately, blue bait seems to be the most productive method of catching at the moment

Salmon – continue to be spread throughout the Derwent/Channel area with fish ranging up to 2 kg

Bream – are becoming more prevalent throughout the Derwent and more and more fish seem to be showing up each week

Squid – open up on the east coast on the 15th November so now is the best time to go if you want to get some good-sized fish

Sea Run trout – good reports have come in from the Derwent of smaller sea runners been caught, Ecogear and Lucky Craft minnows have been catching very well.

Freshwater

Arthurs Lake – cold weather has made fishing tough but people have managed to get good bags searching with wet flies – Lurex cat, yellow rabbit and green machines all proving popular

Penstock Lagoon – strong wind and snow has not put people off and fly fisherman are managing to sight cast to good fish around the edge using small fur flies and Fugly’s.

Great Lake – has been fishing well with most people finding fish cruising the edges, bait, lure and fly have all proven to be productive.
