Squid: Big Calamari continue to go well throughout the ‘channel” and up along the east coast. Yamashita 490 jigs have been a standout.

Sea runners: continue to be a bit patchy throughout the Derwent River but persistence is resulting in some nice fish.

Salmon: Continue to be in plague proportions throughout the SE rivers and up along the east coast.

Mako:  a few reports have come to hand of people raising Mako sharks out on the shelf with some nice fish being caught recently.

Bream: have started to spread-out through the Derwent and catch rates are going up. Good numbers of fish are available up the coast particuarly in the Swan River.

Striped Trumpeter:  Windy weather has made it tough to get out and chase these fish but people have managed to find good breaks in amongst the bad stuff …… resulting in a good feed by many.

Highland lakes:  Arthur’s and Great lake continue to be standouts for fish quality and numbers with both producing well on both lure and fly.
