Fishing Report – 15th May 2020

Fishing Reports

Southern Bluefin Tuna
Still plentiful and available in Storm Bay and right around the east and southern coastlines. Last weekend saw 2 100kg fish landed in the Eaglehawk Neck area.

Broadbill Swordfish
Action was experienced last week with 2 to 3 fish landed by those anglers that could go. 205kg was the best we heard of.

Sand Flathead
Are available although tapering off a little for winter.

Australian Salmon
Are available but patchy for this time of the year … be prepared to try a few spots in order to catch fish.

Flounder
Calm nights have seen many flounder taken in the last week, with the evenings cooling lately it seems to be just a matter of if anglers are keen enough to go rather than limited fish.

Sea Trout
Are still moving all throughout the estuary these fish preferring the rougher windier and drizzly days.
Snapper No reports this week.
